Inverted Diddles Builder | Cellular Practice Method

THE CELLULAR PRACTICE CONCEPT

If you missed our introductory post for this practice concept, be sure to read through it here. This practice method is designed to develop the ability to move between any two ideas at will. By focusing 2 ideas at a time, one can speed up the information intake and as a result will see faster progress. The method behind it is very straight forward and simple/. One “Cell” is labelled “A” and the other is labelled “B”. Start by practicing all A’s and systematically replace them with B’s.. The sequence is the following: AAAA, AAAB, ABAB , AABB, ABBB, BBBB, BBBA ,BBAA, BABA, BAAA. It’s a good idea to repeat each part of the sequence as needed before moving on to the next. SYNKD’s proprietary ‘Bar Isolation” function comes in handy here.

Inverted Diddles Exercise

It’s time to take your double strokes to the next level but, this time, we’re inverting them and starting on the second stroke for an inverted sticking. As with our previous exercises, isolate individual bars a time to ensure integrity of sticking and rhythm.

Click the button above via your iOS device to download the SYNKD rhythm chain. If it's your first time downloading and importing files for rhythm chains with SYNKD, follow the instructions from this blog post.

If you experience issues with downloading the .mid file via Google Drive, tap the three dots in the top right corner of the screen, select "Open In" and then "Save to Files" to choose a destination. We recommend creating a folder for SYNKD rhythm chains.
